DIG Eastern is pleased to welcome Janet Haines ARPS FIPF EFIAF GPSA, Chair of the Digital Imaging Group, to give her talk Inside My Head.

Janet considers her work to be photographic art.  That is to say it is not something ‘taken’ but created from a vision inside her head which then, through the combination of very many photos and textures, becomes the final image.

Her work is predominantly with models and includes some straight art nude, but mainly clothed beautiful females, with a few guys in the talk for good measure.

Living in the Netherlands hasn’t inhibited her tours in the UK, being the Chair of the RPS Digital Imaging Group and being an RPS Assessor. She considers it a pleasure to help others achieve their own photographic goals and even if the work they do is vastly different to her own hopes to inspire others to think outside the box.

As an appointed Permajet lecturer she considers herself to be a print worker.  The choice of paper being determined by the subject matter.  So in the first half you will see many examples, including some successful panels, of her more recent work. In the second half she will use projection and Photoshop to show you something of the construction of the images and give some tips for anyone wanting to create in Photoshop. As a Permajet Lecturer Janet will also talk about the different papers and why she would choose one over another.  She will have some paper stock to sell on the day.
