Fellowship Advisory Day

This Advisory day has been organised for Associate members to get advice on a potential Fellowship application.

Attending this Advisory day will give you the opportunity to discuss your images with current panel members in a professional but friendly atmosphere.

Minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 attendees and no observers are permitted. 

What are the requirement for FRPS?

All applicants must be current Associate members of the Society or current Fellows of the BIPP.

Attendees should bring a body of work which forms a substantial part of their proposed Fellowship submission along with a draft statement of intent. They should be ready to show a possible set of 20 images.

Quantity of work is a minimum of 20 images and a maximum of 30, prints should be mounted. They should also bring a copy of their hanging plan for their Associate qualification.

Advisory Day - FRPS

Attending for Advice:
On arrival please sign in at the front desk and make your way to the Meeting Room. The panel assessors will introduce the advisory day and show examples of successful panels. You will then be invited to display your images for comment.

As a participant, you should bring your prints that you consider could form the basis for a panel, along with spares.

Before you attend please make sure you have read the Distinctions Guidelines which contains valuable information on requirements, categories and criteria regarding the panels. This can be downloaded from the RPS website www.rps.org/distinctions.

£35 for RPS members who would like advice

Opening times

Opening times: 10.00 – 16.30 Doors open at 10am for a 10.15 start. General note: Tea and coffee will be provided. There are a small number of retail outlets nearby but it is recommended that attendees bring a packed lunch. The venue has wheelchair access and toilet facilities for the disabled. Parking is extremely limited, please let us know if you require a space to be reserved for you. Full details of how to get to RPS House can be found on the RPS website

Cancellation policy

Please inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend this event, as it is not possible to refund any cancellation or transfer to another event less than 14 days prior to the event start date. The Society reserves the right to cancel an event 7 days prior to its start date - please check your hotel and travel cancellation policy as this may be affected.
