This area of the Peak District which includes high vantage points often has snow and ice even when the surrounding area can miss out. The day will with a sunrise from a rocky vantage point then moving on to possibly capture an old barn, lone trees and other landscapes (depending on the weather conditions).

Workshop leader Wayne Brittle will cover the use of wide angles through to large zoom lenses as well as the use of ND Grad Filters in the landscape.

Participants should bring / wear:

  • Good quality walking boots (or wellies as it can get rather muddy).
  • Warm and waterproof clothing, including hat and gloves
  • Tripod, lenses, filters, charged batteries
  • Packed lunch and drinks - although there will also be a cafe stop at some point
  • Loose change for parking meters.

The day will involve some uneven ground and hill walking may be required, some over snow and ice depending on the weather.   There will be toilet facilities at the cafe.  There will be parking charges at some locations.

This will be a category C event for up to 6 people.
