X-ray Kiss

X-ray kiss

Discovered in 1895, X-rays are probably most familiar as an aid to medical diagnosis. However, the ability to see beyond the surface and examine the inner structure of things is also being harnessed as an art form. Images such as this, known as Xograms by their maker, look to explore ‘inner shadows’. Shot on conventional monochrome X-ray film, the images are scanned and digitally colourised.
