Belfast Licentiateship Assessment

24 February 2014

Region: Northern Ireland

Our first ever assessment to be held here in Northern Ireland turned out to be a great success yesterday at the Newforge Country Club.
I would like to thank  Bob, Hazel, Anne and Peter (our panel members for the day), along with Roy, Bob and Simon, who give up their time to help make it such a fantastic day.
I think the high cost of flights, accommodation etc. was justified by the unprecedented success rate. Seventeen out of eighteen applications (including two from Scotland) were successful.
The panel members were very impressed with the high standard of images submitted. It is worth noting that the majority of successful applications attended our Advisory day back in December. This highlights the importance of the advisory days, which I hope we can make an annual event.
Congratulations to all who were successful. I hope that your success will inspire and motivate you on to greater things.

A fantastic achievement for the region clearly demonstrates the RPS commitment to their membership, a great result for the entrants with a fantastic set of panels.

Thank you Damian for putting Northern Ireland on the RPS map! We enjoyed the LRPS Panel assessment on Sunday and the value of December's Advisory Day is beyond doubt......all members should attend the next Advisory and indeed, the next Assessment, whether they have entered Panels or not.....we can all learn from seeing others work and showing support for the RPS! Once again, thank you Damian......your initiative has made a big difference......
